We had a late movie (Hunger Games) and got to the restaurant at 10:00. Clearly the last arrivals. And our group ordered many items. In spite of clearly being the last folks in the place, we did not feel rushed. All our items were excellent and it was a great experience. I know the last folks in can sometimes get the short shrift, but not here. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Food and service justified a 20% tip.....very noisy....
Great fall menu selections. Well prepared food. Service was very weak. At about 10pm ish the server brought the check over without us finishing my entree plate and No Dessert was offered, when I asked the server, we were going to have dessert, he noted "the kitchen is closing" that's not a great way to end an evening at a real great restaurant when the service has been tarnished by a un-trained server.
Haven is a wonderful spot for great food & service. They treated me to my choice of a birthday dessert which was delicious (apple cider sorbet)! Highly recommend Haven.
We had a delightful dinner! I only wish the weather had been pleasant enough to sit outside as they have one of the prettiest patios in Atlanta. That didn't at all spoil how much fun we had and how good the food was. The staff were incredibly efficient, friendly, and generous. One of the staff saw my husband take a bite of the candied bacon from my butter lettuce salad - which was amazing, and they brought over a small plate of bacon! Food is usually always great - service can be questionable (we've had great servers and amateur waiters). Brunch is great and more reasonably priced than dinner. Outdoor space is nice as inside can get too loud when it's crowded (which is almost always).
Haven never disappoints. Great food, excellent outdoor dining and a great ambiance. One great opportunity that Haven provides is for you to bring your own wine and pay a modest corkage fee. This helped make our evening celebrating my Mother's 70th birthday even more special.
We requested a quiet table and got it. Our server was vey knowledgable and pleasant. We had a view of the river which added to the ambiance. The food was delicious and well presented. Have been at Canoe for a special occasion (seated in the wine cellar), for dinner with friends, and now Brunch. It is on our list for return.
Dinner with long time friends made all the more special by the absolutely delicious food...all 4 different entrees were truly the finest food we've had in a restaurant in a long time. Matched only by the delightful, unobtrusive & very service oriented staff. Cannot wait to return here for brunch!
