Get directionsIt was more expensive and larger than the community we chose. It was also farther away and I wanted to be closer so I could visit my husband daily if I wanted to. It just wasn't convenient.
The reason we choose the “Heritage Middleton” was because of our first tour. The representative took us around and showed us the units that were available and informed us of all the amenities, the tour was really good. They have a really nice atmosphere and their location is ideal. I like the fact that she can from one level of care to the other without have to move to a different community the “age in place” feature is really nice. The food is good and the outdoor commons have plenty of seats and shade for when people just ... read more
Lovely, new facility. Seems to have plenty of activities and coverage. They do have openings now.
We toured 5 different facilities and chose Heritage Middleton because of the very nice interaction with the employee who called us. Also, the Heritage is almost brand new, it is very nice looking and inviting. It seems they offer quite a few activities but it is too soon to be able to accurately rate them.
Friendly staff. Warm temps-Harold will like. Nice to have 5-28 day respite care. Space is secure. Close to home for me.
My elderly parents moved into Heritage Assisted Living in Middleton a few months ago. I don’t normally write negative reviews, preferring to give feedback privately but in this case I feel obligated to share their extremely negative experience. The place is poorly run with indifferent staff. Food is bad. There were billing discrepancies as well. We have chosen to move them to a different facility because they did not feel safe. We have reported some of the problems my parents encountered to higher authorities. Beware!
If someone going in to assisted living needs anything out of the ordinary because of a disability, such as a bidet, schedule requirements, etc, make sure you ask questions. Some is related to differences between assisted living which we can deal with independent living which we can deal with, but some is the facility rules. Make sure food sensitivity issues can be addressed as well. We were told they could be then, in the end, cannot be.
I moved my dad from that facility to one in [facility removed]where I live, almost 2 years ago, because my dad did not like it. The rooms were too small and the entire locked unit was too small. It was really noisy and dirty. I would not recommend that facility for anyone.
Hoping to move mother into dementia unit when she needed extra help. But they could not take her because of compliance issues. She lived in assisted living for several years and we were told moving her to dementia unit would not be issue. After learning about compliance issues I would not have kept her there anyway. Very disappointing. False advertising / unethical marketing practices if you ask me.
