We did a virtual tour with Heritage Middleton. We were thinking about this facility, but the 2 bedroom apartment that we were wanting actually got taken while we were considering it and the price here was also higher than some others we saw, so we did not choose them.
We chose Heritage Middleton because of the friendliness of the staff members, quality of the care, as well as affordability. The room sizes here are average compared to other facilities that we looked into. I would want others to know that the director is an RN which I thought was nice, they were well staffed day and night, and the admissions director was very helpful. We did have hospice care here and the transition was very smooth. I would recommend.
I think that the management at Heritage Middelton has been stable and communicative and they do a good job. My mom is in memory care. The room sizes and layout of the community are excellent. They have secured outdoor space for the memory care residents.
The location is very convenient for my family. It has adequate parking spaces and a loading dock in the back leading to a freight elevator which made moving her furniture and things in really easy. There is a great little shopping plaza behind the facility that the residents can safely walk to. My mom is very relieved to be living there. It really is the safest place for her right now. The facility was fantastic. They have everything my parents would need. They have thought about the tenants and tried to make it as homey as possible.
The facility was large, beautiful and well-kept. Residents and staff all seemed happy and engaged us in conversation. We were there at lunch time so there was a lot of activity going on. The memory care area seemed large - I don't recall the number of residents. There was an odd smell only in this area and I'm not sure what it was - lunch, cleaning supplies or urine?

Clean facility, fairly well staffed but still long waits when help is needed. After my wife fell at the facility in the middle of the night they were very unwilling to share much information and refused to let me see their written incident report even though I was my wife POA.
