Followed Reviewers Advice and Have Had No Problems Before I ordered I looked at many of the reviews for this printer. The take-away for me was to forget the enclosed CD, download the current software from Brother, turn off the deep sleep and set the toner to continuous. So I got the printer and did all this and in almost a week have not had any problems. My particulars: I have both a PC running Windows 10 (no wifi) and a Mac running 10.14.6 with wifi. Great Little Printer I haven't used this printer to its full potential yet, but I bought it as a replacement for an older model that I have had for 10-11 years. The installation was pretty quick and easy. My older Brother laser printer didn't have AirPrint capability, so it was a great option for the new printer. Great printer! Plugged it in, and started to print. It was that easy!! I used the USB cord, not wireless. I'll do that later.
Buy extra toner if you buy this machine The printer is excellent quality. This is the second I have owned and would still be using the first but it was not wireless. Now I know why the price was so great on this printer that came with one toner cartridge which sells for about $45.00 just for the toner.The specs for this cartridge say it gets approximately 1,200 sheets per cartridge. Excellent black and white printer for home use and Apple users. This is a really wonderful product made by Brother. Setup was super easy. In less than ten minutes, out of the box, I was connected to my IPhone 12 and my 2013 MacBook Air.
