Pricing, 26 dollars for a large popcorn, drink and a pickle? Plus NO hotdogs??? Really? AND no nachos? Plus rude staff. This place went down the shitter.

Don't book a birthday party here service was horrible no hostess and broken bowling lanes, management would not provide refund for bowling time that was paid for 15 kids overall horrible experience at this establishment .

I miss the showbizz/Evo era, I used to come to this place all the time and now it's nothing it used to be, I feel like this remodeling should of been done with the time its had, My last 3 visist were not the best since they barely had any food to purchase and only had popcorn and candy and water bottles, Hope this gets resolved soon

The service was awful. No food was prepared for purchase. Only popcorn. the ICEE machine and Dr Pepper fountain drink machine were both out of order. We requested bottled water. They gave us ice and tap water In a plastic cup. They did not honor the free admission offered for the child's ticket from Angel Studios. We were early for the movie but due to the poor service in the lobby, we missed the first part of the movie. No apology or offer to make things right Was extended to us. My family and I went here to go bowling. At the lane, no server ever greeted us. We went to the counter to order food and we ordered a small pizza and fries. The pizza never came out! My sister who is allergic dairy requested plain fries yet they had cheese on them! After going back to the counter to get help, the staff blatantly ignored us. After 45ish minutes of waiting, we were finally able to get a manager to give us a refund. Overall, the service was terrible and I would never bring my family here again!!!

I see a review from 4 months ago about how bad Hooky is with the remodeling going on. Well today is Nov. 30th, 2025 and this place is a mess. We came wanting some fresh popcorn and hot Hotdogs. We got neither. What we did get? Forced to purchase either the $12 endless bucket of popcorn and only one size of soft drink. Oh, we could have purchased the kiddie popcorn and drink. Yeh right. If I could rate this zero stars I would! This theater has gone to crap since Hooky took it over. We come here often and every time we do this seems to be a problem! Show time is 9pm and at 915 we were still looking at this (see attached photo). Service is bad, concessions are terrible! We will not be coming back and don't recommend this place to anyone! We will drive 30 minutes to not deal with this crap!

The remodel process has caused some opportunities for us to overcome and be better. The remodel will be completed by late December, and this venue will be awesome! It seems like EVO couldn't uphold their commitment, and now that it's Hooky, the experience has only gotten worse. All of the seating has been removed, there's no pizza and very limited food options, the theater seats are worn out, and even the bathroom doors don't close properly and were dirty. On top of that, the customer service was disappointing. I had hoped things would improve under new management, but after a third time, instead the overall quality has declined even further.

I've lived in Waxahachie my whole life so I remember the theatre first as it was and all the name changes recently. i have never had such a bad experience as I did today. it's so sad to see it go so downhill. we will not be back.
