love and hate love the fact you can tell alexa to control functions of the pool hate the fact that the skill loses interface with alexa and you need to renable it
Finally able to schedule pool equipment I will start by saying this alexa app does as advertised. make sure to rename you switches and equipment so its more natural. The best part about the app is leveraging routines to schedule all of the equipment exactly how you want it functioning. Filters, spa, heater can all be autonated with routines which trigger at certain times or based on conditions.
Love my iQ 3.0 Not only is it great to access my pool equipment remotely via the phone app, but Alexa was a great add as well! It is one of the best incremental upgrades to my pool for a reasonable cost. Has not dropped from my WiFi once since getting it. You can control other functions as well, like fountains and lights. No regrets.
Did not work at first, now it's great Mine was very sporadic and didn’t work very well at all. Even the app on my phone didn’t work very well. The Alexa skill would work sometimes and then stop working and the no matter what I did I could not get it to work again. Finally what I did is a hardwired the network receiver in the pool equipment to my router. I had to drill a hole in my stucco and I happen to have a ethernet por t right on the other side. Works perfectly Maybe there was an update since some of the previous reviews. This worked perfectly for me. I can control my pool with Alexa. FEATURE REQUEST: Allow access to the one touch scenes.
Favorite App!!! It just works....... I use it daily to turn on or off the hot tub. Or to turn the pool back on to hear the water feature. Simple!
Great features to turn on pumps and lights, why doesn't pool temperature work? We like that the ability to turn on pool pump, cleaner, waterfall and lights works great. The next feature we desire is to know the pool temperate, and I see it is listed as a capability in the product description, "Alexa, what is our pool temperature". When I ask this from my Alexa I get: "Our Pool Spa is in a mode that does not accept requests". Am I doing something wrong or is the feature missing? just works... We use it almost everyday to turn the pool on/off, pool light and pool cleaner using Alexa. The trick is good wifi.
works perfectly It was very easy to set this up. now i just say Alexa, tunr on the jacuzzi and it starts the jacuzzi, turns on the pool heater, pool lights and now with a new gosound light switch it turns on my backyard string lights.
