Way too over priced for size. The paint on walls comes off like it’s powder, I was cleaning the walls with a paper towel and they paint came off on the paper towels. The flooring come up very easily if I walk around bare foot the flooring will come up with my feet when I walk. The office personnel/ maintenance will just let themselves in your apartment without any notice. I am very dissatisfied and I will be leaving when my lease ends.

Full disclosure to anyone interested in moving here. I really enjoyed a lot of the staff. And felt pretty taken care of for the 2+ years my family and I were there. That is, until we had moved our end of august this year. This is where my opinion has changed. When we announced to independence place that we intended to move out, we were scheduled to have a review of the apartment for any potential damages on 10am August 18, 2021. There were a lot of maintenance issues especially with the bathrooms. Also make sure you submit a 60 day notice when you’re lease is ending or you’ll be responsible for paying the following months rent after the lease ends. Like who knows they’re moving 60 days out that’s ridiculous! Also they’ll charge and extra 200 to the amount you’re already paying for the following month after the lease ends...The dumpster is always overflowing, there is trash all over the grounds and dog poop pickup was a joke. I honestly don’t have anything positive to say about this place. For starters I moved in during the Beginning of Covid. The apartment was not cleaned prior to my move in. There were a lot of maintenance issues which I put on my move-in inspection that were never fixed despite the many calls and work orders I put in. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment at all. Terrible experience. Was charged an additional month when my lease was already up and turned in my keys prior. Trash was consistently always over flowing at that place. Staff never answered the phone to get mail. Consistently had issues with the apartment, there as no upkeep.

The maintenance really does not want to do any work. Work orders are pit in and no follow up. I have to go to the office to get any updates on when my order will be done. And there never are any updates. I really think they feel fine with bad customer service because fort bragg soldiers are going to live there being that its so close. Its really a shame.
Maintenance and parking spaces
STAY AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!! My husband and I lived here for right at 2 years. They are super nice and helpful until you sign the lease, then they just care about the money. I moved out recently and just got a move out statement saying my deposit is being held because I STOLE a dryer out of the apartment. I requested to have management walk through the apartment with me but they said there was no need and that I should drop the keys in the rent drop box. I like the apartments but not as corporate the furniture is very very cheap for the price they charge for corporate. The tv they have inside they don’t even make anymore it is probably about about a 19” had to go buy myself a bigger one just to be able to see it. I think the corporate units definitely needs some upgrades in them. Staff is nice and friendly no problem there. They just need to go around and look at other corporate places to get an idea of how to decorate them. The mattress is hard had to buy a mattress topper ... read more
