We LOVE Instinct. I have a shy/anxious dachshund that can be pretty reactive to large dogs/hyper-dogs to the point that it was affecting her ability to calmly walk and be around them. I contacted Instinct and we came up with a game plan to do several home lessons first and then to do some in facility training to help create confidence in my dog and then give her the tools to be able to redirect and quickly calm down after encountering her triggers. I cannot speak highly enough about Instinct's Puppy Raising Camp Program. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and caring, providing top-notch training for both puppies and owners. My puppy, Brody, attended the camp and the transformation was incredible. I’ve both boarded my dog and worked with the trainers at Instinct and can’t recommend them enough! When you board a dog, Instinct sends you photos and updates during your dog’s stay, and from the updates, you can tell they really know each dog and tailor their care to suit each one. Our trainer, Emma, is super knowledgeable and my dog adores her. We have seen great results with her guidance! I highly recommend Instinct — everyone there, from reception to trainers to caregivers, goes above and beyond!

If you are looking for a boarding or training facility, instinct is the place. We left our doggie there about 4 times now; boarding sessions and one-day stays; it was the best thing we could have ever done. Not only were they amazing, great communicators, and super loving to our baby, but our dog loved the facility and didn't even say bye when we dropped him off. Had an exceptional experience at Instinct. I wanted a behavioral consult since my young dog had started showing reactivity towards people. I opted for a board and train option knowing giving her a jump start with support was most realistic with my schedule. I can't fully express how wonderful Instinct Englewood has been for us and our 2 dogs. As puppies they attended puppy bootcamp. Brianna and Shelby are absolutely phenomenal. They each took on one of our puppies as their own. You can tell how wonderful they each are by the way our dogs get excite each time they walk in an are greeted by their smiling faces. They continue to go to Instinct on a regular basis. We get updates on their stay's, etc. Highly recommend!

I have a French Bulldog, Ellie, now 1 year and 3 months old. I brought her home in January of 2023 and to say I was overwhemled is an understatement. THANK GOODNESS for Instinct!!!! I looked into, vetted and interviewed multiple different facilities in both NYC and Bergen County, NJ and quite frankly no one came close. Highly recommend and extremely effective. We worked with Brianna when we adopted a fun-loving, happy & energetic mini Golden Doodle. Brianna and the support of the Instinct Team really helped give our pup the confidence he needed. Brianna especially was so thoughtful, caring and attentive to his needs. Her trusted pup, Monty, helped demonstrate the behaviors for the skills our pup needed. I don't typically write reviews but Instinct was a life saver. I have a very anxious dog who can't be boarded anywhere and I was going on my honeymoon and wasn't sure what to do. I worked the staff at Instinct to help my dog adjust to the boarding space and the training sessions worked as he was able to successfully board!
