Oh where to start!? The facility is a dump, storage units severely leak water and worst of all the property is extremely infested with rats. The grounds itself are not well maintained and there is always debris and trash blowing all over place. I brought this to the manager "John" attention and it was no shocker the gentleman was asleep at the front desk multiple times when I went in side for assistance. I had a terrible experience with the women on site (Louis). Extremely rude. I lost my keys to my unit, and went in to have my lock cut off. Turns out that the she is the only person on site, and is not trained to cut locks off. The only person who would be available to cut it for me is only at the storage sporadically! I was storing stuff there for 3-4 years and within that time they raised the rent 3 times. They weren't small increases either. Started out at $76 a month and it went to $98 a month. That was too much, so I decided to leave in March. Paid my April bill in anticipation of not knowing how long it would take to get my stuff out. Ended up getting my stuff out prior to noon on April 1st and asked for my April payment back. They said that they had a no pro-rate policy. So I basically paid $98 for not even half a day. I wouldn't even give it that! First month was supposed to been free. But it wasn't!!! More like half off!!!! And nobody said how much a month it would be until I got a Email saying $75 for a small one!!!!!! Fuck that I got my shit out and don't forget it was a bitch to get the fucking thing to lock because the hole didn't match up so had to push down really hard and can't forget the investigation of ants I had for no reason!!!!! Went down to my storage unit to go through more of my mom's belongings. Do not go frequently since she passed as it is a little far away and not easy to go through her things since she passed. I have had the unit for 3 years. I was worried as I couldn't remember the #* part of code, the gate was wide open when I arrived and when I left. Worst company ever. I have been calling for 7 days trying to make my payment and because they were closed down they could not accept finally someone is there today and they are charging me a $20 late fee I don't ever use this company they will screw you over even if it's their fault.
When I moved into my large unit - the roof was bowed and looked like it was going to collapse. I was assured by Robert Paul and another person working at iStorage that it would be fixed. I came back 3 times and it was never fixed - each time I asked and was told that it was going to be repaired. We came to move our belongings last month and it was STILL not fixed after 5 months -as we were moving the roof collapsed on us! Do not give these people a deposit. Oh, did they not mention that it was non-refundable AFTER they took your credit card information? Classic bait and switch. Called to reserve a space while on the way from out of state with a loaded truck. When I got there, the space simply would not work and the next larger space was "unavailable", so can I get my money back? The units on Fairview in Carson City used to be great. All seemed fine until their online payments function stopped working. Going by the office to pay my bill wasn't working too well either because on at least 2 occasions, I would stop in and a sign on the door was saying they would return in what was 20 to 40 minutes earlier. We then decided to go to a smaller unit and though Robert was helpful in getting us switched over, no knew how to apply the payment/credit.
