I rented a unit in September of 2013 for $115 a month. The next month, they raised the rent to $125. I wish they had told me when I rented the unit that they were planning this increase. When I gave my notice to vacate the unit effective March 8 and asked them to prorate the rent, they informed me I must pay for the full month of March as they do not prorate. I would not recommend iStorage to a friend.
The 2009 review is out of date. iStorage, the current owner, bought out the previous owner sometime this year (2013). iStorage is a Florida corporation it seems and has been buying out storage lots all over the place. We were storing a fifth wheel in the yard until we were asked to move it so they could pave the yard. Not a good idea IMO since drainage could then be a problem, perhaps. Then they raised the monthly rate. Big surprise. Now I am elsewhere for a lower rate.
