First Mortgage Direct gave us an incredible rate-- a whole point lower than our home bank offered. A local real estate broker told us it was "too good to be true" and we should stick to local funding options... I'm so glad we didn't take that advice! When I first started shopping for a mtg I sent inquiries to every co. I could find. Jake called and my immediate impression was he is persistent and a little cocky. He told me he was the best and he had the best interest rate. He said anything else is immaterial. Well I had nothing to lose so I gave him a shot. Boy am I glad I did. He & his underwriter were amazing. They are knowledgeable, efficient and quick to respond to any of my concerns. And yes we got the best interest rate!

I was running into issues with a terrible lender and ended up taking a risk and going to Jake to get me to the finish line and meet the closing date on my home. Jake had the task to get everything done within a week, and he made it happen! He impressed my realtor, who said she has never seen that done so fast and with little time. His work ethic is impeccable! Always available and will walk you through every step! Highly recommend Jake!!
