Well we started pretty good and fast having worked in the loan business myself I had all doc's ready and in order of request. We did the appraisal but after that Jake was hands off and did not have the pulse of the file. I think things slipped between the cracks with the title company preparing the doc's and even the notary having access to the doc's. I had taken the afternoon off for the signing and the notary was running late and when she got to the house didn't have right docs' rescheduled.

Pick up the phone more and use it. 1, 2 phone calls in a month transaction? Email is not good enough more me, I'd like to think that many more people would feel this way when they can't deal face to face. Let the customer tell you they only want to deal with email. If your company has a 3 day wait period for a cash out loan, prepare the borrower ahead of time. That, along with Texas' regular 3 day recession period makes for a long unexpected wait. Lack of communication overall.

The Worst refinance i've ever experienced! I initiated the loan process in August and finally as of November 15th I cancelled the loan. Lack of communication with where we were in the process was frustrating. After a month of trying to get a subordination agreement done I gave up. The other company dealing with the subordination agreement said that Jake and his team failed to provide the required documents. This loan process was a huge waste of time and I will never use 1st Mortgage Direct again

I think Jake did fine but his team was lacking a sense of urgency and commitment to the client. The closing people you used at first called Simplicity or something similar was totally unprepared to do business in Florida where I'm located and almost caused you to loose the Loan.

To have been more knowledgeable in your understanding of what would be required from the lender and get it from us the first time around. To have been aware of the required fees or ratios needed from this lender so all required payoffs or payments would have been given to us upfront as we were deciding which company we would choose to refinance with.
