That being said, I received what was obviously an open box and discovered that the valve was in its manual override state and wouldn’t come out of it. That is likely why the previous buyer returned it, as the valve would not automatically turn once installed- for those who don’t know about the manual override, it would appear that it was broken. Easy install of replacement. Easy purchase. Great price. Easy install.
Basically R&R installation All I did is remove the faulty switch and replaced it with the new one. The switch I replaced was on the return flow where it's either fully from the pool or fully from the SPA. Didn't have to mess with cam settings.
Great replacement for Jandy 4424 Exact replacement for Jandy 4424. Took minutes to replace. What a pleasant surprise to have that happen. First one lasted just short on 10 years. Would buy again from Amazon. Locals wanted $209.00 for the same item.
