The office staff where not helpful they where more concern about collecting money. Instead of taking care of the patient. My son was told to go This dr because he has to have an emergency gallbladder removal. Since it was already infected. The staff refused to see him. Saying that if he did not have the money dr jay Patel would not see him. Then he would have to pay dr Patel another $600 to start the surgery. Dr. Patel did a "simple" Hiatal Hernia repair surgery on me in 2017. I was supposed to be in the hospital "just a few days". While awaiting surgery, his Chief Resident came to repeatedly tell me Dr. Patel is doing another case, and they would take me back "soon". After about FIVE hours they took me to surgery. Afterwards the Resident came to inform me that he was "very sorry to tell me that they cut my colon by mistake...but they fixed it". I was discharged to home.
