First of all, I would like to say that Dr. Rigsby and staff did a wonderful job with my kitty. I brought him in on a Sunday with a urinary blockage that needed treated immediately with a catheter. Dr Rigsby came in right away and saw us within a half hour of me calling their emergency number. I gave this 3 star rating because of the cost of the treatment. They told us the cost up front was going to be $1600. I asked if there was any kind of payment plan and I was told there wasn't. I had never had a urinary cath done before... read more

We make every effort to make sure your pet is safe and pain free. My only concern is the comparison with phone estimates from other practices. In complex medical cases I don't know how anyone can give an estimate over the phone without seeing the patient. Called their emergency number over weekend and got rufused help because my dogs never been there. What's point of having and emergency number if you won't help anyone.

We provide 24 hour, 365 day emergency services to our regular clients. We are in the office all ours of the day and night taking good care of our clients pets. Unfortunately we cannot take care of the entire community. I am sorry your regular veterinarian does not provide you with this service. Maybe you should consider finding a veterinary practice that provides that level of service to it's clients.
Tonight, my son & his girlfriend had to watch their puppy die in their arms due to the lack of compassion and knowledge by the staff at your facility. Their Austrailian Shepherd was only 9 weeks old. He started having breathing problems & was brought in. Because my son didn't have $1300 up front to pay, you allowed their puppy to die & still charged them $427 for x-rays and antibiotics. Odin's loss is truly tragic and we are always sad when a patient is lost. A few facts in this case are important however in that the writer of this critique was not actually present when Dr. Swart was dealing with the family. It is important to note that Dr. Swart advised the family that Odin was critically ill and was very likely not to survive, and recommended referral to a specialty emergency hospital at Purdue or Indianapolis which was declined. My poor Maggie May was hit by a car tonight my mom called Jefferson Road Animal Hospital because I was so devastated they said since she wasn't a patient there we needed to take her to Anderson I thought you were there to help animals I would have paid any amount of money to help her but before we could get to Anderson she passed away

We provide 24 hour 365 day services for our clients and clients of those hospitals which we share emergency duty with. Unfortunately several practices in the Kokomo area, Tipton County or Miami county do not provide services to their clients and refer them to Indianapolis. Why did you give someone's dog away without notifying them once the chip was scanned and revealed the lawful owners??????? What other illegal things go on at your facility???? God forbid someone's beloved pet would be brought to you so you could just give it away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For shame.

There is a lot of misinformation promoted by the media on this. I know a lot of people like to make quick judgments based on the news media. This case is a perfect example of this. The fact is that this dog was re-united with this owner due to the actions of my staff in scanning the dog for a microchip and reporting it. Home Again’s web site states that they will contact the owner not us, but for some reason waited almost 2 weeks to do that. I'm upset to know you don't share things with owners of found pets or police, What other things are you hiding? Animal abuse/ dog fighting etc..
