A girlfriend and I decided to go there for dinner as we drove in town from Coquitlam. We arrived as they told us there was a 25 min wait for the dinning room yet there were empty tables everywhere, we then sat in the lounge as I left to use the rest room, one of the waitresses dropped her tray all over my girlfriend as the plates shattered every where as her pants, legs and shoes were covered in food she was disgusted. My husband and I visit Joey on Burrard fairly often and in the past the service has been good. However, on our last visit about 2 weeks ago it was very disappointing on a few counts. I arrived first at the restaurant and one of the staff (I believe she was a hostess) greeted me and I told her that I wish to be seated at the lounge. I saw a table that was empty but still had the dirty glasses from previous patron and told the staff that I would like to sit there. My husband and I finally got a night out without the kids so we decided to go to our favourite restaurant Joeys. We frequent the restaurant for date nights and it's normally amazing food and service but not tonight. We got there around 6 and it wasn't busy yet. We sat, our waitress took our orders for drinks appies and entrees and then completely disappeared!!! We were not asked once if we needed a refill or how our appies were. The food was good. The service was disorganised and became a bit of a joke with our table. The part that really disappointed me and shocked me was that you didn't have a baby changing area, let alone counter space to change my 9 month old baby. We were moved from our table in the bar area to be in the 'family friendly' restaurant side, but I still had to change her on the floor of the washroom! In my eyes, this is not acceptable at all.
