I had an interesting file, to say the least, with multiple, big life events happening all at once. Joey was awesome and helped me get across all the hurdles and into my new home with the least amount of stress possible. Processors should not bypass the agent representing the buyer to ask a listing agent if they can provide paperwork. A 49 day closing should not be submitted to THDA 3 days before closing and then blame THDA for taking to long. When we have already had to push closing back, communication needs to be urgent and not passive and requiring the agent to follow up multiple times to get answers. As far as friendly is concerned, everyone is friendly. But as far as timely is concerned, this was a bad experience.

For the majority of our loan approval process, I was not CC'd on the email traffic between Joey and my husband, despite this being requested multiple times. Joey seemed to have a more reactive instead of a proactive approach as we constantly felt out of the loop and experienced requests for additional documentation that we had previously provided (I.e. bank statement history). We started our loan process in Feb and didn’t complete till 1st of June. Joey was great but underwriters were horrible. They kept requesting info and then saying that was all they needed and the. The next week would ask for more infor this went on 4to5 more times and each month this rocked on they asked for new paystubs and proof of employment each time. Bad first impression and last. We would not recommend based on our experience. I’m sure Dave Ramsey would be disappointed to hear our exp.

A miscommunication with the title company resulting in a different amount needed for closing than we were told. I followed up 2 days prior to closing to confirm the amount. Although a credit was given for some of the overage, I cant see how something like this happens after I noticed the difference and inquired about it.

I think a check list for the customer would be a great tool.
