Booked the table for birthday celebration, besides I made an extra effort to go meet server 2 times away from my table just to keep it surprise. They didn’t bother to bring the cake on time. I had to go ask for it again. They took away the joy of that surprise. Adding to that, it was told that they’d bring a good cake which is complimentary, at the end they ended up bringing a small lava cake to CELEBRATE THE BIRTHDAY and charged it to me on my bill. Only 2 serves on staff made for a long night. 15 minutes to even put in a drink order but 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. Took the spicy crab dip off the menu :( People behind us kept going outside to smoke weed which normally i wouldn’t care but I’m pregnant & it was my birthday dinner which i couldn’t enjoy. Server kept apologizing for bad service but it wasn’t reflected back to us. I’ll come here for pre-planned events but won’t go out of my way to go here.
The service was slow. The table was too small for 5 people. They put an extra chair at the small round table but forgot to add cutlery. I had to ask for a set myself. The food was too expensive for the qualities of it. Also my wife's expensive apple pie was burnt. Sorry, but for a restaurant that charges these prices has to be a lot better than it was on our party of 5's first visit. Definitely not a good outing and experience, especially on Mother's Day.

Had an awesome server and loved the atmosphere but sadly we both had steaks and they were both awful. Right in the supper rush and living almost 2 hours away didn’t want to say anything and await for a new steak for both of us. So we just ate it without saying anything. The steak was extremely chewy and not cooked properly and for the value of the meal defiantly not worth it or going back there anytime soon. However the bright spot Andrew was an awesome server and truly hope he continues to do an awesome job.

Joey's has been my favourite restaurant for years, and it is the go to place I always recommend for friends and family to dine out. Love the appetizers and the steak dinners. but my last visit was the worst. I don't think it is the fault of the service person, but a shortage of staff and perhaps a lack of training. Honestly quite disappointed in the experience. Some members from my party arrived and when the server came over she just asked what we wanted to drink she never told us it was happy hour or the specials she was very transactional. She wasn’t very nice and welcoming. It also took over 5 minutes to get our drinks at certain times, even though we could see them sitting at the bar for more than half of that time. I booked the heated sunroom we were told they had staff shortage and system issues so we couldn’t sit out there , but we only found that out 10 mins before we were to sit , I wouldn’t have booked if I had known about the no sunroom access , the waitress also put an order in for an apple dessert for us to the kitchen but the kitchen never sent it out , we waited 20 mins to half hour after dinner for the dessert then had to leave to meet our next outing time, we asked for it to be removed from the bill
