Our server, Jill (sp?), was an absolute ace! Not only did she connect with us respectfully ad professionally, she was timely and intelligent in her approach, knew when to speak - or even interrupt - and how, and organized all the large dishes on our table so they were cleverly accessible to all. We got a small glass of champagne on the house before we sat down (same as everyone else at the door). Service and food was good. Could have buser fill up our water glass more often, our water glasses were empty most of the time and need to ask for refill

Best view and ambience. The patio is overlooking the water and perfectly warm and cozy for a chilly night.
Met with champagne and Italian doughnuts at the door, the over the top hospitality and service began and didn’t end until we left. We are not much on crowds, but would definitely brave the shipyard area again to dine at Joey Shipyard! By far the best meal in B.C. we had on our trip. I was very disappointed that I didn’t get the table I requested. My beef dip sliders must have sat for awhile before getting to my table as it was not hot but lukewarm. My guest’s cod and rice were hot but the fish was dry and neither had any flavouring. The sauce for the fish poured like water and it was also tasteless. I’ve been to Joeys twice before and absolutely loved it and brought my friend especially to show her but was very disappointed and a little embarrassed.
