RecommendedGreat zoo. It could definitely use some upgrades but I can only imagine how little funds they get being in Grand Rapids. As much as I feel the extra activities that require a fee are on the more expensive side, I can totally understand why they charge so much.They NEED more funding! I'm glad to see they have upgraded a lot of the bigger animal's enclosures since I was a kid. Excellent day to see the animals. Everything was well-kept and clean. Also, one of their workers (don't remember the name) spent some time with us and told us some really interesting facts about the animals. She was awesome and she took the time to answer our questions.
The John Ball Zoo is a great place to take the kids.
My son and I had a great time. Favorite part was the tigers. Friendly staff.

I loved the fact that it was a nice, affordable, and not oversized exhibit. The customer service was exceptional, the good was good, and the presentation of the place....
I had a great time. I love the butterfly exhibit! But, I didn't see any giraffes or elephants 🐘.
We took are family on August 12th to see the new addition to the zoo The Red Panda his name is Wyatt he is so cute. My daughter had alot of fun. Ty to John Ball Zoo
