Take caution John Ball zoo has blackout dates for using reciprocal memberships. Showed up hoping to take the kids to the zoo today during normal operational hours for a normal zoo day. Found out they had a kids day with discounted admission. Cool! We get in for free with our reciprocal membership but that’s cool they do that for the community. This place is ridiculous now price wise. They now charge to park even though you pay to go to the zoo plus if you have someone that needs to use an amigo. they now charge 20 deposit and 30 to rent it no matter if you use it for half an hr or more. This is crazy if I knew it would cost so much I would have just gone to Binder Park Zoo and paid a little more so we could see more animals and more things to do
I purchased 6 tickets back in May. I called this place to make sure that the zip line was going to be up and running by the time we came in July to enjoy the park. And zip lining, I drove a 1000 miles to take my grandkids to the zoo to do the zip line, and when we got there, I bought 2 more tickets for my other two grandchildren, they did not tell us that all the animals were locked up or you couldn't see the animals. And the zip line was not open because they did not get proper permitting, and the manager is a young punk. K... read more
Buy your tickets in advance or don't plan on getting in. Long drive to find out tickets were not available at the gates as advertised online.
