Absolutely terrible people I a single mother on Medicaid I have never had a co pay. Their number one practice is HOLDING YOUR CHILD DOWN not even giving them a chance to see if they can sit on their own. If you want to traumatize your child, then this is the place for you. There is absolutely no reason why your child has to be held down. There are plenty of other pediatric dentist around Rochester that do not practice this unnecessary totally traumatizing technique! Worst dentist visit ever! Took me awhile to post because I wasn't sure what was normal...but but after asking other people about their kids visit dentist visit what they wanted to do here was NOT ok! I took my daughter here for her first dentist appointment..first if all it's not even an individual room it's a communal room with multiple chairs and no sink for patients to spit or rinse...then they started the visit by bringing someone in and saying we're going to hold her down screaming and crying is totally normal. Very rude and unprofessional. I brought her a lot of clients from family and friends, but her office is very rude and unprofessional. One time, her front desk had some issues with their laptop or something and the insurance didn't go through. A few weeks later I received a letter from the collections. I ended up paying out of my pocket to keep my children at her office. We have been with her for about 10 years. My daughter is a patient at Dr. Shea's office and we absolutely love it there!! The staff is so nice and knowledgeable Dr. Shea is great and very patient. We have a great experience every time we are in the office.
