Starting seeing Dr. Vogt 1.5 years ago. Her choice of medication improved my life immediately. She is kind, caring and easy to communicate with. She has a positive attitude and an astute listening skill.
The Vogt is great I have been seen her for the past five years and she is always very friendly but at the same time stern when she needs to make a point. I would highly recommend her to family or friends. Yes sometimes you may wait a bit but she is an excellent doctor. I was with one other doctor prior and was given incorrect diagnoses and she quickly straighten out my meds and got me back on track.
I agree that you sometimes have to wait a little extra to see Dr. Vogt but I would suspect that dealing with this type of population it is to be expected and I know if I needed the extra time I always got it. I voluntarily chose to drive from Harrisburg to see Dr. Vogt because she had a new patient appointment to see me within two weeks. An initial evaluation and assessment is very important so that she can accurately help you. She is a very experienced clinician.
Dr. Vogt is seeing two of our children. We are very happy with the services we are receiving. She was able to detect that one of our children has ADHD whereas we thought it was anxiety. He is doing very well in school now. We are very happy about her attention to detail and thinking outside the box.
Dr Jutta is very professional and caring. She is always on time and is very attentive during my appointments. The office staff is quick to respond when appointments are needed.
She makes excuses for patients having to wait extended amounts of time for their appointment. She said twice she had an emergency and it ended up being traffic. She doesn’t listen- and that’s a very important skill to have as a therapist. When prescribes medication she can’t even send it to the correct pharmacy. Once she finally gets the pharmacy correct then she doesn’t send them over the prescription correctly and they won’t dispense my medication to me. She’s been a hot mess all around. I cannot recommend.
Business response:
If there is an emergency this is a very rare event and that this apparently happened to you twice is statistically impossible. But that aside it seems you did not find our interactions helpful and that is fine. Not everybody clicks with everybody. I also would like to mention that sometimes when I am late it is because I fit in patients that are late to their appointments or went to the wrong office. Everybody is being seen on a given day.
It's negative. It's hard to have a conversation with Dr. Vogt. She won't listen to her patient and family's opinion. She yelled at us when we had a disagreement which was unprofessional manner. Nothing productive to see her.
Business response:
When families have a different vision for their child 's treatment that is not in the best interest of their child, I will have to disagree. I will always act in the best interest of the child ( the patient ) and might have to disappoint family members in the process. I express my opinion clearly and respectfully and frame my responses in a way that is helpful for the family even if they disagree with treatment.
Dr. Vogt didn't understand my condition. She took a simplistic approach to explaining my symptoms and wasn't receptive when her interpretations were questioned. She became defensive and impossible to work with. Dr. Vogt seemed eager to continue adding medications even when I expressed a desire to reduce my medications. I wouldn't recommend her.
Business response:
My approach is always as little medications as possible. If someone wants to reduce their medications, I applaud it and will work with them. If someone has more complex symptoms, I am always willing to work with their therapist. There is no need to become " defensive" since I do not want to cause aggravation in my patients nor myself. There is no need to cause more adrenaline surge than there is already necessary in life.
Will be finding a new psychiatrist. Dr. Vogt does not take patient notes as she has asked me the same questions multiple times, appointment after appointment. Doesn’t listen and just likes to say ‘mmhmm’ as I am speaking. Stay. Away.
Business response:
In order to assess symptomatology, I do need to ask basic questions ( for depression for example -whether there is enjoyment in life, energy level, sleep, rating of mood etc. Sorry that this comes across as always " the same". But it is important to know how severe the symptoms are. Also, should I say " mmh" it's because I am listening what you are saying and take non-verbal, verbal and factual information into account to make accurate medical decisions.
