Dr. Vogt is professional but cold. I have seen her more than 15 times, only asks 2 or 3 questions. Her office doesn't offer refills over phone and makes you pay your co-pay instead of refilling an antidepressant you have been on for years with no issue. The receptionist with dark hair and young is consistently rude and cold. The wait time is min 30 minutes. If you are late by more than 5 minutes, you are charged the full fee. You can forget about anyone EVER ANSWERING THE PHONE. No aft hr svc.
Business response:
If patients have been very stable on their medications for years and there is not much to discuss during office visits, we recommend that patients are being followed up by their primary care physician so that we can attend to more acutely ill patients that find it difficult to find a provider. We do not charge for being late and yes, we do answer our phones-that's how patients are able to schedule with us.
Worst dr I have ever been too she didn't listen she judged the entire time and told me she had never heard of rapid cycling bipolar disorder.
Business response:
Aware that anybody can post a feedback whether they have been seen or not, I would like to say the following: The first thing that I am thinking when I see a new patient is how I can help. If I were judging someone that would limit my options of finding solutions for which patients come for. Being judgemental keeps one's thought processes frozen within a certain point of view restricting one's ability to be helpful
Very nice but always at least 30 minutes late make sure you allow a good hour so you aren't late for anything you have going on
Dr. Vogt has a very cold manor about her, she did not seem to listen to what we had to say. She was over 20 minutes late for the appointment and only talked for 5 or 10 minutes. I did not get the help I was looking for. I would not recommend.
Business response:
The only diagnostic tools psychiatrists have is obtaining a history and performing a mental status examination. In order to be most helpful, psychiatrists get into an observational mode which you might have perceived as " cold". While the patient tells their story, I listen intently and also pay attention to their thought associations and nonverbal communication in order "to put the pieces together". At the end of the session, I always share my impressions which most patients find very helpful.
I waited 3 months for an appointment for an initial consultation with Dr. Vogt. She spent a mere 15 minutes with me. In addition, half of her desk is devoted to pharmaceutical handouts, which is a major turn off to me.
Business response:
I am very sorry that you are feeling upset. We routinely schedule new patients within 2 weeks, sometimes the same day if we have an opening. I am not sure why in your case it took 3 months to schedule an appointment. We allocate 30 minutes for an initial encounter. There are exceptions when the initial evaluation can go faster, for example if someone is already established on medications and relocates from another City. I keep coupons on my desk for convenience since many patients ask for them.
Long wait times, appears not to listen to patient, cold impassive. We know other patients who have similar experience.
Business response:
I am sorry to hear about your experience. This is not a typical response we get. We strive for every patient to have a satisfying patient/doctor experience. If you are not happy, please bring this up at your next visit or discuss it with our office manager.
