The intense hundred degree heat made that time very uncomfortable for us outdoors and getting to the hotel from where we Water bug in the downstairs bathroom just as we were leaving reminded me that there are bugs in New York all over the place. In fact I have been jokingly told that they come with the rent. The bathroom was very tiny and likely most room had the same tiny bathroom, based on the photos that I saw of the other rooms the rooms were also very small. Great value for money, great location Great location, room was fine, it stayed cool through the heatwave and was quiet and clean. The staff did their best to accommodate our needs and the breakfast was good. Sure it could with a facelift but you won't get a better price for a location as good as this, one block from Central Park, in NYC.
Very Good The past online reviews of the hotel are accurate. We encountered some problems with the quality of amenities. However, the staff did their best to ensure we had a good stay. I had a completely well stay. Elevator is not working well, no refrigerator and micro wave in my unit and there was water leaking. The staff are accommodating and the location is accessible by mass transportation.
Solid and basic accomodations in a great location This is a practical budget hotel in a great location. The breakfast room is too small and gets very hot but I appreciated the ability to pick up a few things in the morning. The staff are very nice. Rooms are basic but great value considering the wonderful location in the Upper West Side near Central Park. There are lots of little restaurants nearby and easy access to the subway. For a single traveler mostly in the city for business and enjoying the shows, this was just fine.... read more

Awesome location and friendly helpful staff. Slow internet, minimal A/C, tight quarters, moderate cleanliness. Very convenient and reasonable priced.
