Excellent location and friendly vibe, a decent space to rest in between activities. As expected for New York, the rooms are small, but adequate. Everything could do with a fresh coat of paint and upgraded fixtures. It did appear as though some upgrading and construction was happening on some floors, but this led to dirt and grit on the carpet upstairs. Wonderful -- Nice and helpful staff at the reception and breakfast room. Really good mood. Location a few metres away from Central Park, which is great.

La Quinta is a great location to stay while in New York but the elevator situation is frustrating. (You could wait 5 - 1 Only one small elevator, used by residents and housekeeping. I found some gnats flying in my room. Great location to restaurants, subway, Central Park. Great beds and pillows for sleeping
