Seriously only good for an overnight stay Quite far from JFK airport and shuttle only running every 2 hours. I had to take a Lyft to go to the airport, since they were not at all flexible on the shuttle schedule. The hotel is situated in a tired looking neighbourhood, without any restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is tired looking. Litter lying on the ramp was still there the next day when I checked out. Carpets need serious attention. Curtains in the room can’t close. Please note our complimentary shuttle runs on a 24 hour schedule to and from JFK airport dropping off and picking up guests - this is why it cannot deviate from scheduled times set. Far Rockaway is still in the process of rebuilding after being completely devastated from Hurricane Sandy. We have a new boardwalk and a lot of new construction. Quick trip to visit my son. The hotel seems to need a facelift on the inside. Just outside our door, the carpet in the hallway needs to be fixed. Needs some sprucing up. Location was very close to where my son lives
