Our waiter Paco Hernandez was very attentive, knowledgeable and made us feel welcomed. He gave us some excellent recommendations which we ordered and they were excellent. The whole dining experience was amazing. I would highly recommend Stella’s and it’s a very convenient location if you are attending the Winspear Theater.
We just wanted to thank the team at La Stella for the excellent service the other evening before the Come Away show at the Winspear. We appreciate how conscientious they were with regards to everyone's need who were trying to get to the show on time. As it is many times in Dallas the rush hour traffic was not very cooperative. We wanted to specifically thank: Kyle, Amanda and Joseph for being gracious, competent and astute to the circumstances that were out of their control. Good food, good vibe, poorly trained staff, feels like a manager issue. Definition of a high top table is the low table by the entrance. That’s not a high top, hostess warned us of this the second we walked in, so clearly we weren’t the first. Bartender splashed us 2-3 times while making drinks, and wait staff seems completely uncoordinated on small changes, no idea on some basic etiquette. But again - nice place, good food. Maybe in need of a better manager.
Great food and service, but the best part of the experience might have been the entertainment.
Everything is delicious - pasta, chicken, bread, cocktails. You can’t go wrong. The service is impeccable! Great place for dinner before a show at Winspear!
Delicious dinner before a performance at Winspear. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and the serving of shrimp, sea bass, calamari and zucchini was so generous and delicious we didn’t even order entrees - skipped right to dessert! Service was lovely - can’t wait to return on a night without a show so we can enjoy a more leisurely dinner!
The food here is really consistently excellent. That along with friendly and professional service and a pretty setting make this a great choice for Italian food downtown.
What an amazing experience. The owner and his father were so personable. The service was awesome and the food was the best Italian I have had here in the United States. I would highly recommend you give La Stella a try!
Family dinner to celebrate a birthday. Very fun, informed, attentive, friendly service. Delicious food, drink and dessert. Lovely live music. Beautiful atmosphere. Have been for pre-theater dinner also. A must visit!
