RecommendedI had a sick cat, and was able to get her in right away for Dr, Petzel to look at her. He is so good with the animals, and equally good with the owners. The staff is very thoughtful and kind, and completes a very good experience. My cat had surgery today and the vet who operated called me twice... to report on what he found, and then what he did. I've been going to Lakeside since I moved back to Milwaukee in 2006, and am always pleased with the service for both the animals and the people.
Lakeside has a great team of doctors and staff.
Everyone here is knowledgeable, friendly and always willing to help when I call with a question! They have been great with our pup!

Lakeside Animal Hospital has provided excellent animal care and answers for over 20 years after we moved to Shorewood. From our first dog, Steve, our cat, Harvey, and second dog, Sophie (she lived for 15 years) to our current dog, Louie, the Lakeside Animal Hospital and Dr. Kowitz have taken the best of care of our animals. (Dr. Kowitz was also the vet for our daughter's pet rabbit and bird). Our grand dog, Linus, hurt himself (first time), we were in a panic situation and so was he. I was able to make an appointment online on a Sunday. Linus was examined by kind hearted Dr. Dallwig and was on his road to recovery. Dr. Dallwig even called back twice to find out how Linus was doing and told us which meds to always keep at hand with pets in the house. Dr. Poetzel is Linus's regular vet (was not in clinic this week) who has helped Linus love life since he was a timid, shy scared 4 months old rescued pup. Because of ... read more
