Friendly,no smoke and mirror sales pitch. I Bought my first chev in 1956 a Bel Air Hardtop, at 79 years plus this will likely be my last. I wanted to start and end with a chey, What relly sold be on this suv is the driving aids and all the safety features, Previous service on my trucks was also a consideration. WOOHOO!!!!! My poor neon needed to be put to pasture, my poor Ford was coughing up a storm, and Dad said, "Right that's it. Time for a new one." So off we went, no need to dealership hunt, for Lakewood name was, and is, in the family due to Dad's pervious buy. Great service, know their cars (beyond the look pretty aspect), friendly people, and choices. Friendly with no pressure I went in to buy a new truck. I had an awesome experience throughout the whole process. There was no pressure and I got a very good price on my new truck. I was determined to sell my older truck privately due to getting low-balled at other dealerships. Lakewood asked for a chance, so I gave them one. They gave me a fair price on the trade in value of my old truck, so they had a deal. I will definitely be back!
Overall happy I am overall very happy with my car- however we almost walked out over only $200. I wasn't impressed when it came down to the bargaining part. Chevy had to win, had to have the final say and it would of been nice for them to recognize me as being the loyal customer that they "so appreciate" my business. Then the business manager who told me she wasn't a salesperson tried to sell me over $5000 in product... It was not even an 8 month old vehicle. I guess just doing her job. Jim Bell Is The Man Jim made suggestions that I had not considered after I had made the decision to purchase a new truck. I enjoyed a hassle free experience with Jim, Dan, and, Manita there was not the usual high pressure haggling and the extra options, and extended warranties were not forced on me.
Painless and pressure free I researched online and knew I wanted to test drive specific Escapes to make a decision. I went to the few dealerships that had exactly what I was looking for to do just that. Carl at Lakewood Chevy was the only sales person I dealt with who DID NOT start off by talking numbers with me and then try to push me into purchasing a different car than I came to see. Friendly people This was a great experience. All the people I dealt with here were willing to do whatever they could for you starting with Rob Garneau to the manager. I felt very comfortable here with absolutely no pressure.
