One of the main things, being that it's a brand new property, they don't even have office hours and to me that would seem like the time to have some. The main doors close at 8 pm and you can't get in unless you put in the number, and it's just a little hard to get use to. It's safe in that respect, its just hard to get things to her when we need too. Do NOT place your loved one at Landon Ridge. If your loved one exhibits signs of decline, they will not notify you. If the signs become notably worse, they will not notify you. If an ambulance has to be called, they will not contact you. If your loved one declines being taken to the hospital against the advise of EMS, they will not contact you. Marketing person forgot about appt, but wonderful facility manager [name removed] took me on a tour. Very kind man that the residents obviously have great affection for. Lots of walking. Limited parking. Nice place. Update - no one ever called to apologize or follow up. Would not recommend. Shame. Nice place for the most part.
I had a family member live here and it was an awful, awful experience. We were given false information to coerce us to sign a contract to move in. They attempted to administer wrong medication several times. There were so many problems I don’t even know where to begin. But above all us, these people are heartless. Individuals without compassion have no business in healthcare! Not even a condolence after her passing. I would never recommend this place. And all state agencies will receive formal complaints in the near future.
I have been upset with them at times. They really need someone that is there 24/7. No security, it doesn't matter if they are independent or not. I couldn't get anyone to check on mom and she is around the desk, they are not helpful and won't budge from what they are doing. I heard other people complain too. The director doesn't return calls either. It is a nice place and in a good location.
