Facility has been recently updated inside, and it is very tastefully done. (Supposedly their are plans for the outside) The staff are very helpful and friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. There are loads of activities, and one can stay busy for most of the day! There is one meal a day included even with independent living, which is a tremendous plus and helps get people out of their apartment. Apartments are roomy. The staff is very friendly to the residents and guests. In the dining hall the staff that I had just been introduced to even called me by name for a meal and were very friendly and attentive to me. They know all the residents names and what their favorites foods are. The residents are happy, friendly, and entertaining.

It is a nice place, fairly clean. Residents seem happy. Staff needs to communicate more efficiently is my only criticism currently. Mom has been living there for two months and enjoys it, she likes the various activities.

If you want your loved one in a safe place that’s also very friendly & clean Laurel Oaks is your place. The grounds are pretty with trees all around. The inside is light blue with white trim it’s roomy and nicely decorated. It feels like home not an apartment. The staff is friendly and caring. My dad loves it there and we love how close he is to us.

My father has been at Laurel Oaks for 5 years now. He's always been very happy there. As his primary caretaker I've had a much greater peace of mind about his well being since he's been at Laurel Oaks. The staff has overall been attentive and kind towards him. Some residents seem "snooty" but I am sure it will take time. Cleanliness receives a 4 only because construction is a little messy. Everyone is so very friendly and helpful. Even though independent living, staff are very caring and helpful. The meals reduced to week day lunch and very challenging for those on restricted diets. We love all the activity options!
