My father has been at Laurel Oaks for 5 years now. He's always been very happy there. As his primary caretaker I've had a much greater peace of mind about his well being since he's been at Laurel Oaks. The staff has overall been attentive and kind towards him. Some residents seem "snooty" but I am sure it will take time. Cleanliness receives a 4 only because construction is a little messy. Everyone is so very friendly and helpful. Even though independent living, staff are very caring and helpful. The meals reduced to week day lunch and very challenging for those on restricted diets. We love all the activity options! Laurel Oaks Senior Living in Glendale, Wisconsin has wonderful staff and the sweetest residents. Renovations are happening and look absolutely amazing. I recommend taking a look at this great community.

What stuck out about Laurel Oaks was the finances, we were able to get what we were looking for for the right price in our budget. We are in a bigger 1 bedroom apartment and it is plenty of room for us. There is a cleaning service provided 2 times a month and I think they could improve some on that if they had 2 people coming in rather than just 1. I am in the real estate business working with senior communities as my clients are mostly older adults who would move into these same communities. My father passed away, and my mother was now alone after her 63 year marriage to my dad. She was shy and quiet and worried about settling into senior living coming from their condominium. Administrators are very helpful during new resident introductions and great at making activity programs. Activities incorporate my electric scooter. Food and dining services made available, as well as cleaning and laundry.

This is a great place to live. The people who live here and the employees are really nice. I haven't met anyone that I wouldn't like to keep as a friend. The food is very good and I am comfortable here.

We've been living at Laurel Oaks for 3 & 1/2 years. We've made new friends and been involved in daily exercise classes, book club, and other groups. I've enjoyed the library. I've been able to use the onsite physical therapist for the therapy my doctor recommended. I'm glad we made the decision to move.
