Wonderful place from the waitstaff to the food and the ambiance It was Christmas Eve and the atmosphere was definitely more festive. I will be back again.
Lunch once and now dinner twice. Went with a small group the other night for a small company dinner and had an outstanding time. Both the service and food are top notch. If you enjoy experiencing new and different culinary delights then by a means go there.
Came two days in a row for special events, the food was delicious.
We went with a group of people two days in a row for special occassions. The staff is friendly, service is excellent and the food is wonderful. A lot of flavor and unusual spices, really like it. Coming back in a couple weeks for another gathering. I would highly recommend.
Food is outstanding but they were so busy that the service was slower than we have experienced in the past but didn't stop us from enjoying the meal. We have enjoyed the restaurant on many occasions.
The food is good and the ambiance is nice. My first time visit, I enjoyed the food and the menu has a lot of variety. I would like to try other dishes on my next time. The restaurant is clean and the decor is tasteful. One of the neighborhood restaurant that I would recommend my neighbors and friends.
Having a reservation at this restaurant means you get the next table that is free after you arrive. This time it took 15 minutes of waiting before a table for five became available. Food was excellent as always. We had Coconut milk soup, Mango Salad, Shrimps with egg plant again, pork with Jalapeno, lamb with Tofu, and two desserts: Fried Banana and The Fried Palata with condensed milk and ice cream. Service was spotty, depending on what was going on at the other tables. I would strongly recommend Rangoon Ruby.
Took special friends here for dinner Saturday. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food arrived on a timely basis and exceeded expectations. Water glasses were filled without touching the rim of the glasses, something other restaurants should also do. Have been at the Rangoon in Palo Alto but the San Carlos experience was far better in all respects. Recommend this location for its food and service despite the high noise level.
The food was tasty, service was good , attentive, but it was too hard to have a conversation. Next time I would try to eat outside or get takeout.
