A client recommended Rangoon Ruby. I checked reviews and they were very positive. We were not disappointed. The service was great, the food was quite tasty and served at the correct temperature. Even though they were quite busy, we never felt rushed to leave. I highly recommend Rangoon Ruby!
The food is always delicious, we always get the Chicken Salad that is mixed fresh at the table, This past visit we also had the lettuce wraps, another great choice. We ordered 3 entrees and had enough for leftovers the following day!
Rangoon Ruby was a nice restaurant. The food was good. The only issue I have with the restaurant is that it was very noisy. I could hardly hear my dinner companions.
Think of Burmese food as a kind of cross between Thai and Indian food. Wonderful flavors, lots of veggie menu items, and spiciness select-able to satisfy any palate. Parking can be tricky depending upon when you dine. Outdoor tables are available. The service was great. I recommend Rangoon Ruby.
Very good Burmese food with great service in a nice but small spot in downtown San Carlos. Their Palo Alto Restaurants are larger and more spacious but the parking is better in San Carlos. Tea leaf salad is unique and well prepared at all.
Our visit did not extend beyond average dinner length, but the server kept trying to rush us. Made the dinner uncomfortable.
Service and food were great! You must try the Tea Leaf Salad. The Walnut Shrimp are one of our favorites. We tried the minted jalapeño pork this time on recommendation of a friend, and it was okay, wouldn't get that again though. Coconut rice is yummy! Chris, our server, was awesome. Have been there several times and will keep on going! Good wine list too and husband was happy that they served Hoppy Ending IPA.
We came here for the first time for a Valentine's Dinner prix fixe dinner. We thought the price of $99 for two was a good deal; especially for V-day. Upon arrival, my wife was presented with a red rose and we were seated promptly at a romantic table for two. The atmosphere was upscale with beautiful pictures and ornate ceiling. The food is great. We went for Valentine's Day and the service was definitely rushed. But overall the food was yummy and we would go again. They don't have any sort of coffees which was surprising and their dessert was subpar. Also, not sure this would be a space that would be kid friendly.
