I originally booked a unit with Whittier Storage because it was close to my home. However now that I have had my unit for several months and have had to access it several times, I am glad that I chose Whittier Storage. First, inside storage units are available and some of those inside storage units are climate-controlled. I have been with Whittier Self Storage for quite some time now. I honestly recommend this storage facility to anyone. It's clean and well maintained. The big plus is the customer service. I had a few questions so I called and spoke with Corrina. When she answered the phone she was professional and friendly. She went out of her way to answer my questions and then asked if there was anything else that she could do for me. Thank you Corrina, for the excellent service!
I've been renting a 10x30 here since July of last year. I've been very satisfied with the professionalism of the staff. The facility is very secure and well lit at night. The facility is very well built and is also very well maintained and kept clean. I would recommend this facility to my family and friends with out any hesitation.
I've been with Whittier Self-Storage since 2008. I love the cleanliness, always have. Saul is a great manager & awesome person to deal with. I have enjoyed the experience.Thanks Saul!
Get the AC units fixed! It's impossible to be at facility in the 3rd floor when AC doesn't work
I would strongly suggest anyone wanting to store your valuable RV, trailer, boats, etc at this location to think again. My friends stored their 24" trailer there and it was stolen in broad daylight. They recovered it from an impound lot and everything in it was stolen and there is extensive damage to it, inside and out. All locks were broken on it and the thief sold it to another person who is out of his cash now too. BEWARE. Update: The level of customer service I've received from this facility is truly disgusting. For them to refer to this as an accident and take no responsibility is terrible. This was not an accident, an accident would be if someone hit the RV with their car while trying to back out of a space. This was an act of negligence. Lighthouse rented a unit to the man who stole the rv. The man rented the unit with the sole purpose of committing theft, and that was not an accident. Just got a unit. Problems with printer made transaction 20 minutes longer than usual. Unit was dirty so I asked for it to be cleaned. I returned the next day and was told that it had been cleaned: wrong . I was given a broom to clean it my gate code didn't work and I had to call for someone to come open the door to unit for me. Too many issues too soon. I selected this business because most reviews commented on how clean the facility is. Hopefully there will be no more issues.
It's true that the location is clean and well maintained. And the staff are nice .... when they are there. But you never know if they will be there. We recently had to go retrieve an important item for a family member who had died. We needed it for the burial, so we really didn't need any additional hassles. We got there around 1:15. We had a problem with our unit and buzzed the office on the intercom. No answer.
