I am a LOCAL. I own an apartment on the same block. I have for 8 years. But despite its name, no one at Local remembers mine. I am sat here and it is clear that my anti-Local feelings are substantiated. Starbucks is closed. Nook is full and this is my only choice to working at a laptop alone. The food is ok. Not even close to Joey's usual efforts. But they do not have to be as they are busy with students and Kits residents year round. Great location! Food is typical good pub style, also great brunch! Staff generally pretty miserable looks like they hate their job and it's slow. Would come back for the patio ..

Been there twice in the last 10 days and was so hoping the service and food would be better, and that they were just having a bad day the 1st time. Although the girls are really great, the service is realllly slow. I finished my entire pint before my friend got her 1st glass of wine (cause they were out of her 1st choice). I wanted my veggie burger crispy or well-done and it was barely warm and just a gooey, gross mess of bland goop placed in a bun. Yuck. Great food. Really good drinks ,cute waitress but service is very poor! I mean really poor! If you can be patient and don't mind asking twice for a drink...this place will work..

Hostesses and waitresses were all very friendly, but unfortunately the atmosphere itself was not. The tables were packed together so tightly that you physically had to move your table in order to let the guests next to you leave. In addition, the table was very unclean and had food leftover on it from a previous patron.

Good food great server but rotten drinks! We stopped in and got fish tacos which were good. We also ordered the drinks that were on special. I think they were called Morning Margaritas. Something in the drinks was rotten, we were thinking the orange juice was off. Our server was awesome we each only had a couple sips of our drinks and the server took them right off our bill. I've frequented LOCAL a few times but unless you know the employees, you will not get served - especially on the patio. I've had the worst customer service and being in the restaurant industry, I am familiar with the expectations from the waitress. We were consistently being told we were the next table and we would see parties of 3 or 4 being seated before us even though they put their name down after. Went here for lunch with a friend on a weekday around 2:00pm? so not during a lunch rush. Slow service :(. It was a hot day and water would of been nice to start with. We waited for a server and it wasn't till 10 -15 mins later she approached us. We both ordered salads and for the price it definitely was not worth it.
