Leaving this review for other parents whose child is being sent here. My child was treated well by staff and did not witness staff mistreating others. Food wasn't good according to my child. My biggest concern was lack of communication. We never had a meeting with anyone and only spoke with a nurse a couple of times and the social worker once. Wonderful hospital. They treat adults in four units. Each unit serves different patient populations. One is substance abuse. Another is called FLAGS with military patients (veterans primarily) treating PTSD, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The other two units are higher acuity and lower acuity. Hospital has caring doctors, nurses, social workers and staff. Hospital is clean, looks newer and is nice. Great groups daily to help patients get better. Also wonderful outpatient (IOP) program.

The BH systems in Cenla are downright CRIMINAL. I experienced even WORSE use, abuse & false diagnosis f pm the MAJORITY of those employed by them. I returned home repeatedly way more mentally & emotionally challenged, due to systematic ABUSES & rumors & headgames of control & influence, than when I was chronically & CRIMINALLY falsely admitted.

One night the night staff decided they didn't want to check up with me every 5 mins like they needed to since I was on a 72 hour watch for attempted suicide and they decided to cut my beeper off of my leg and keep it in their pocket so they don't have to get up and scan it. Also the hospital charged for a "vaccine" that I never got. Fights breaking out every night and the staff let it happen. this place ruined me. i was in the teen girls unit. i witnessed people get jumped and the techs let it happen. A girl passed out and one of the techs caused a scene and yelled at another girl for asking her for help. The techs are only their for the pay they dont give a damn about the kids well being except one named Ash. For me to see these reviews are absolutely outrageous, but here's what I have to say about this place. They took my sister from the Winnsboro hospital and they put her in there. There was nothing wrong with her. She came into the hospital because she passed out because she was on her time of the month something like that always happens but basically they took her out of the hospital they put her in there. They stole my shoes and credit cards. scary place. They are making money hand over fist but don't pay enough to hire competent help. When will America get it that these so called christian groups are raping Medicare and Medicaid? There were a couple of people there that were understanding, but over-all it's a bad place. A family member was recently in this facility and it was a horrible experience for her. She had been needing help mentally. She was very depressed, secluding herself, living in filth due to her depression and sleeping all day. A lot of this stemmed from her physical condition causing embarrassment , poor self esteem and discomfort continuously to her skin. I am not from Louisiana but my son was working in the area and needed help. I brought him here based on information on their website and based on a recommendation from a local family that had used Longleaf years and years ago; well times sure do change. I should have read the reviews. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE, THEY WILL GET NO HELP.
