My 15 year old daughter is currently here. Getting ahold to her by calling NEVER works, I know that the staff isn't that busy not to answer a phone at all. My daughter said that they held her down numerous times and gave her 4 "calm down" shots all at once(she's 113 lbs.) Their was also a girl there that kept fighting all of the other patients, she was one of the girls that got beat up and a chunk of her hair was pulled out. During my stay, I suffered multiple seizures (four in total) which were serious and frightening medical events. Despite my clear and urgent attempts to seek help, describing symptoms including involuntary head movements and loss of bodily control, my seizures were dismissed by medical staff. Instead of receiving appropriate medical attention, I was told that my symptoms were related to “blood pressure issues,” which I know was not accurate based on my experience and history. If you wanna see sunlight or get “fresh air” , you’ll have to go outside with the smokers for one of the 7 daily smoke breaks. A small courtyard with a prison high wall and two patches of turf grass. It was a constant fight to get anything I needed from med nurses but we all cowered in fear of them keeping us there longer than necessary. UPDATED 2: They followed up with my email and I talked with a patient advocate this morning. I was able to give them some information about the case and hopefully will be able to help. UPDATED: Emailed and awaiting response or would prefer a phone call to the number I left in the email. A family member is there and is about to be released after just 48 hours. If you are looking to make your mental health condition worse than it already is this is the perfect place for you. Upon my departure i was informed that my bag I brought with me was lost. It normally wouldn't be an issue but my carkeys were in the bag. I finally get in contact with someone after 2 days of trying and they informed me that my bag has been found but I'll have to come up with a solution to receive it.
