There are not many good Italian spots in SA or Austin in general but Luces is top notch. Great service, food and convenient location albeit a little hidden in the complex! Great restaurant! I highly recommend it to all!!!
This was a business lunch, it was great because we were able to have a conversation. I am not sure I would go there for an “everyday” lunch, as it’s a bit pricey.

Restaurant week menu was very minimal, but still provided tasty options. Caesar salad was average (maybe a touch heavy on the dressing), parmesan crispy tuile was perfect. Sea bass was tasty and cooked nicely. Risotta was a touch more creamy than expected...very loose. Great overall service especially when handling 4 kids. Brought out their meals first and kept the drinks coming. Food was spot on except just a bit salty all around for my taste. Everyone else loved what they ordered from salmon to seabass. Definitely will return.
We arrived at our reservation time on a Thursday night. We sat for over 15 min. with no one coming to our table. Our waiter passed us a few times without acknowledging us...then Justin saw us and hurried over to greet us and when we expressed our displeasure said he would take care of us. I was looking for a restaurant close to the car dealership my sister in law was visiting to look at a car late afternoon so we could meet nearby for dinner. I did a map search and we were pleasantly surprised. My brother in law and another friend with us said they had eaten here before (10 or so years ago) and were not happy with the restaurant then. Having the owner, Joe B on site and overseeing the restaurant operations makes a difference. He is a wonderful host. And his best server is Sylvia, is a must for special occasions. She makes every visit special for us.
