It was fine. The waitstaff was very nice but overworked. I got some veggie things and everything was pickled/very vinegary. Not that it didn’t taste good, just an FYI to ask if that’s not your thing. I would skip the pasta dishes. Tastes like jarred sauce. The sandwiches and entrees we ordered were good.
We had loved Brasserie Jo pre- theater or symphony - this new restaurant replaced it and the food is outstanding from the caesar salad to the terrific tuna and great salmon. The bread was also good as was the sorbet for dessert. We found the restaurant a bit stark in decor and the wait service slow. Once we kept asking for bread for the table - the service picked up. Training of staff would help.
On the positive side, the place with clean and brightly lit. Service was very slow. Food was passable. I had a simple breakfast of eggs over easy with potatoes and toast. Eggs were greasy and potatoes were over cooked. Definitely would not be recommend for brunch or breakfast.
It was ok. They just don’t seem to try very hard to make the food special.
The meat and cheese board was fantastic! We had great service and the restaurant has a cool, comfortable ambiance. We were surprised it wasn’t more crowded! Drinks were also great!
Outstanding, service was so nice, ambiance and tables were such a cool vibe and comfy, also food was SO YUMMY
They were very understaffed and took too long with service.
Very comfortable, very pleasant, courteous and alert service, tasty food—all of the ingredients conspicuously fresh, cooked thoughtfully (my fried shrimp benny, for example, had crisp and tasty shrimp, two perfectly poached eggs with big runny yolks when pierced, fingerlings that burst when cut or bitten…), smartly sauced. Nice for a hotel (where we didn’t stay) to have a truly desirable restaurant.
Waiter knew we were headed to a concert at Fenway and got our food out super fast. Penne a la vodka was nice and spicy, crispy brussels sprouts are a served with a nice, subtle sauce. Cheese and meat platter left a little to be desired. Espresso martini was nice- reminiscent if the old Brasserie Jo.
