I got a balayage at Ashburn, and was really unhappy with it. I've had balayage's done at a different place and was recommended this location but left so disappointed. (1) I asked for a deep brown tone, and I came out with bright red. (2) After I got my hair washed, I asked for my stylist- however, she had left for the day, which was really unprofessional. My first time experience getting my hair dyed professionally and I almost wanted to cry when I got home because I felt scammed. --- So this isn't entirely their fault BUT when I went in to ask if they could do what I wanted (I wanted my bangs to be a silver/white color, I didn't know it was called a "Money Piece highlight") they made it sound like they could do it. I am not trying to be rude but I came in asking for a balayage and I showed a picture of it. When I saw my hair at the end I was very disappointed to see that it didn't even look like a balayage and it was just streaky highlights. The back of my head was also left completely black besides a very big unblended streak of an unpleasant shade of light brown towards the right side of my hair. I'm sorry if this was rude I was just very disappointed as I have school on Thursday and there is no way to fix this.

The hairstylist Seema was very rude to me, and she sprayed me in the face . I told her that I thought that hose was broken and she kind of laughed and kept spraying me. I think this is very rude. if you go here, I would avoid this lady if you can because she has a big chip on her shoulder.

I had a choice between a different Madison Reed location versus the Ashburn one. Since Ashburn is closer I decided to switch to this location for convenience. I normally do root touch up since my hair holds color very well. So far I've been to the Ashburn location 4 times, each time the stylist was pushing me to get unnecessary treatments. Bleach and toner left on way too long despite telling my stylist ahead of time (she initially said 45 mins which is crazy) my hair lifts and takes toner really easily. I saw it was completely white after highlighting and before toner which is a sign bleach is left on too long. Stylist pressured me to get partial instead of accent I came in for. Very disappointed with my experience. I went to MR in Reston in Sept 2022 and had a great experience, and since have done my roots at home with MR color.
