I cannot begin to tell you how amazing your product is!! I have asthma, and it has gotten worse, I will ONLY use MADISON READ. I AM A STYLIST WHO CUTS HAIR,And I am in Screen actors guild SAG,I have cut directors,and actresses hair,along with that I am a Senior Advocate,I cut and color their hair with NO ASTHSMA ATTACK! I have gone to Madison Reed three times and love it. I went twice in Arizona and once in New York. The root touchup's has always been done very professionally. All their salons are clean and very pleasant. The pricing is reasonable for the work that they do. I've always been pleased with my root touch up results. I highly recommend these salons and will always be returning back to them.

FIRST TIME: went for roots - ok experience- everyone distracted and working in an assembly like fashion. They didn't even know it was my first time there. SECOND TIME: decided to give it another chance and added accent balayage. Told colorist (Brandi) to make sure it does not become brassy. Brandi worked in a distracted way- leaving to tend to things at least 5 times. It seemed like she didnt mix enough color so had to go twice to remix and add. Please do not go there or make sure you see yourself the exact color you want that they mix before they color your hair. They made my hair so dark that now I have to use a primer to get rid of the color and then color again. The colorist said she used the same medium brown color that I use but after drying my hair there, my hair dark black. I show a picture of what I wanted and the girl said this is not all hair color if you want that blond you will have to come other time it was very unprofessional and I had no choice in picking almost a black color that I didn't like it. I felt uncomfortable. The girl that took care of me didn't know what she was doing because she was asking somebody else for advice. I wasted my money and time there. I am so unhappy. I wouldn't go there. I wouldn't recommend this place.

This was hands down the WORST hair color experience I have ever had, and it happened at Madison Reed in Roslyn. The Vietnamese stylist who colored my hair gave me terrible advice from the start. She kept insisting I use 8N plus Ash on my roots and grays, promising it would blend perfectly with my color. Instead, my hair turned into TWO completely different sections of mismatched color that looked absolutely awful and embarrassing. Horrible results! Color did not take at first attempt. Second attempt, the color was off and my hair has been dry as heck ever since! General manager and staff not as friendly as you'd expect. I REALLY wanted to love this place. It would have been so convenient, but I don't believe their product or service is worthwhile. Would not recommend.

I had a subscription to Madison Reed haircolor and three times the box of haircolor and when I mixed it it turned black and spewed out a horrible rotten egg sulfur smell. Three times in a row. They only refunded me for one. Madison Reed like everything else has gone downhill.

It is normal for color to oxidize and become darker when mixed or occasionally can be colored in the tube as well due to air bubbles being trapped during filling, this has no effect on the efficacy of the color. Madison Reed hair color is formulated without a fragrance, as a result the odor from the ingredients can be exposed as there is nothing to cover them, but you can rest assured your color is still safe to use.
