Get directionsDr. Sonenshine found the right combination to bring my UC into remission when other physicians could not. I had been referred for J-pouch surgery when I sought out Dr. Sonenshine for a second opinion. That was almost two years ago, I still have my colon, and I'm in remission. Dr. Sonenshine is very responsive through the practice's web portal, and is flexible in arranging visits and treatment for long-distance patients.
Business response:
Dr. Sonenshine will be happy to hear this! Thank you!
My first visit with Dr. Sonenshine was great. He listened to my concerns and history and decided on a plan of action. He was positive and wanted to earn my confidence in him when he reported results. Pleasant doctor and am glad I selected him (and also recommended by my primary doctor).
I'm a new patient and Dr. Sonenshine took the time to get to know me, listened to my symptoms and concerns and set up a treatment plan that was easy to follow. He also responds to inquiries via email/portal very quickly. I highly recommend Dr. Sonenshine.
I emailed Dr Sonenshine on Sunday with a very bad acute digestive issue and Monday AM I heard back and he got me in immediately. At the appointment he showed sincere interest in my issues and was very kind and compassionate. I've seen him several times and he's performed a colonoscopy. I would highly recommend him. Very smart!!
I NEVER write reviews....but I was just referring Dr. Sonenshine to a friend and saw that he had received a couple of negative reviews. So I had to write my own. My internist (who is FABULOUS) referred Dr. Sonenshine to me. I found him to be warm, smart, caring and personable and was someone who asked excellent questions and was interested in knowing my entire medical history. I was so impressed by him. He made my gastro experience a great one. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
I went in for a diagnosis for painful, unresolved digestive issues. Dr. Sonenshine really paid attention to what I had to tell him about my symptoms and provided some great advice and medication that really helped to alleviate my symptoms. He also performed numerous tests to isolate where the problem lay. While my issues were not completely resolved due to the fact that I moved shortly after our appointments, I feel confident that he would have found a solution for me.
Dr. Sonenshine was my GI during an emergency hospital stay & provided follow-up care for 6 weeks. His diagnosis was thorough with sufficient tests to pinpoint cause. Communication phenomenal - his office called to schedule return visits, he spent sufficient office visit time on explanations, & he emailed me directly including lab results with his comments same day received, answered email questions quickly himself. Staff noted he's always like that when I commented on it. I highly recommend.
I was very pleased with Dr. Sonenshine and the staff at Northern Crescent Endoscopy Center for a recent procedure. It was only the second time I had seen this doctor. I was initially a little hesitant at first because he seemed so young, but from what I was told by several people he is super smart. He was kind and caring before and after the procedure. And he also called me a few days later to see how I as doing. What more could I ask for?
Someone who works with physicians referred me to Dr. Sonenshine. I'm recommending him because of the detailed explanations he gave to my questions - I totally trust his judgment.
