Dr.Jaycox a light at the end of a very painful tunnel. I agree with those stating his office is difficult to get to. However, those giving him less than 5 stars, after never seeing him are wrong. He takes these medications seriously,as THATS HIS OATH.So if you’re only going to see him because you want pills, forget it But If you’re willing to follow his advice, and you really want relief from major pain, you won’t find more compassionate, or more dedicated to the critical thinking required for chronic pain. He doesn’t “know”... read more

Dr Jaycox is respectful and polite. He really cares about his patients. He's Very compassionate and understanding. He explains everything with detail. Its a long wait to see him but it's well worth it. He excellent with difficult cases. I totally recommend him.

Dr. Jaycox is one of the most intelligent, caring doctors I have ever seen.

Dr. Jaycox and his team are, initially, very intense, but in a good way. After literally years of pain, battling serious autoimmune disorders, etc. I finally felt listened to, and given the HIGHEST level of treatment available. It felt world class in every aspect from decision making, description of procedures, plan of care. While some may feel as though having a team of residents in tow to be invasive, my husband and I felt as though the group thinking only inhanced the dynamic of care.

Overall he is a great doctor however the mri done in sept went unnoticed . The results were abnormal and no one addressed my concerns . He did write a referral but it turns out it wasn’t correct specialty . Then he didn’t make any “plan” because he wasn’t the original dr to see me . The wait time for return appointment which should be in 2 weeks is over a month away. Still no plan still no real result . The Dr did explain the pain pump very well but again felt like I wasn’t his patient . Very disappointing visit .

Regularly runs behind over one hour. Last week I waited over 2 hours for a scheduled appointment . There was an open revolt in the waiting room with people being re-scheduled after traveling to get in , pay for parking and waiting for over an hour. This is not a one off incident. It is a regular occurrence. Be aware and schedule your day accordingly if you have the patience for this. There is no reason why they can't text or call their patients ahead of time. Unconscionable ! I am a care giver for another patient - this visi... read more

DO NOT JUDGE DR JAYCOX BASED ON THE UNIVERSITY PAIN PHYSICIANS OFFICE!!! Dr Jaycox is exceedingly patient, compassionate, funny, and generally seems to love what he does so he is knowledgeable and willing to try many things to get to the bottom of the issue. DO NOT JAYCOX BASED ON UPP!!! The office staff, and it seems overseeing Doctor are lazy and could care less if anyone gets help, or even a returned phone call. The phone is NEVER answered. You can leave a message, I've done this a few times, I have NEVER received a call ... read more

If you are lucky enough to be his patient. Most of us adore him. He really does everything in his power to treat our pain. The problems I see have to do with the ineptness of RUSH Hospital in general. Refills are impossible to get on time. I have 2 RUSH doctors. Both offices suck at refills. I've seen new patients seeking opioids and being told "no." I hear them yelling from the exam room to the elevator about him being an evil a-hole. Yeah, I suspect it is these people giving 1-star reviews. Jaycox is great. RUSH is the pro... read more
