My 15yo daughter was a patient here. For a parent this is one of the most horrible things you can imagine happening but then to have a facility do such a poor job was icing on the cake someone does not need. I did not hear from her therapist for seven days even after I had been trying to get a hold of her for that entire time. I had to track down the social worker and was first contacted by the weekend covering social worker who apologized for the negligence of the assigned staff member but was barely able to help me. Please note that once you are admitted here, they will hold you here for at least 72 hours even if you voluntarily walk in. This will not be told to you nor will it be in writing during the admission process. It is only once you are locked in the unit that you will receive this information. It is completely understandable that they want to hold people who may be suicidal or homicidal. But they will essentially commit people to 72 hours there even if there are no mental issues in regards to harm to oneself or others. Please ... read more
