Rumpke is a disaster. We registered for their recycling on Aug 31 in Huntington, WV. They took the money from our bank account within minutes. The service was supposed to start on October 7. They never delivered the bin to us and since October 7 we have called them four times, to have our money transferred back to us. It still has not arrived back. Today, October 26, 2022, we are reporting them to the AG of West Virginia, the Consumer Protection Agency.

I missed putting my trash out because I was sick, called service was told “nothing I can do.” Guess that’s understandable. Separate date: I put the trash out, driver did not pick up. Have doorbell footage of trash out and driver passing my house. Their customer service said “the driver marked it as not being out, so it wasn’t out” then promptly told me I couldn’t do anything and said have a nice day to me before hanging up. As you can see, excellent service *sarcasm*

I think Rumpke is poor at resolving customer problems I have called at several times to resolve there audit billing mistake to my home. They are trying to charge me for a extra trash can that I never had. Every time I have called the have said oh yes I believe we did make the mistake, we run it up to are supervisor and have them take a look and take it off your bill and call you back. less than one star. Service for trash is good. But now, I have closed the service and let them pick my bins up. But they keep saying I can't find your bins and everytime they charge me $50 as a trip fee. I put one trash bin and recycle bin but they said we found trash bin not recycle bin and keep charging fee. Ridiculous service. Customer service keep saying the same words.

Didn’t pick up one of my cans Monday. I went across the street and told the truck as it was still close. They basically shrugged his shoulders at me. I called customer service and the lady told me it would be picked up as it was only 9am when we spoke. Nothing happened called back twice on Tuesday and was told it would be picked up no later than Wednesday morning. It is currently Wednesday night. I still have a trash can on the corner? The only reason why I left 1 star ….. is because there was not an option for no stars. My residential can was not dumped. I called and was told that the driver made an attempt to dump it and was afraid of spilling something out of the can. I reviewed my ring doorbell images and no attempt was made to lift the can. When I called and spoke to Juanita his supervisor she informed me that he will not be coming back and that I needed to get overflow bags and empty my trashcan out and put the items in the bags. For 3 months our trash has been picked up every other week if that. When I call for someone to come get the trash, no one ever came. Not once. Then THEEE WEEKS went by with no service and no one came out when I called. FINALLY someone came at 21 days and only took the trash from the two cans. Not the two extra weeks of trash sitting there in bags. Now I’m having to fight to be refunded for service That Rumpke was REFUSING to give? That is really bad business.

Worst customer service ever, I am 62, had knee surgery and my tote got some rain in it, the driver has refused it for 2 weeks now, I even tried to empty some water from a wheelchair, they pick up couches etc but a a heavy tote? I will contact the BBB

Rumpke took over for another trash service when they retired and closed. In 4 weeks since they took over we have had 2 weeks that they picked up. One of those 2 times we had to call and they picked up 2 days late. The other 2 weeks we called and was told to leave it out and they would pick up. We are still waiting. We have called another service because we are tired of waiting on Rumpke. Their home office has said they will refund our money but we will have to wait. We've heard that before from them.
