Very nice dinner! The sushi was and is always excellent, and the scallops special was very good. I thought they could have been seared just a little more, but still very nice. We were early birds (6:15 pm) and were seated and served promptly. Metropolitan has been a favorite of ours and continues to be!
The food the last few times having been here has not been anywhere as good as in the past . Might have to knock this place off my list
Metropolitan Cafe does not dusappoint. We purposely went on a Monday evening so not be bothered by a crowd and to be able to sit back and relax while dining on excellent food and having a drink. Chelsea our waitress and John the bartender were very gracious and saw to our needs. An enjoyable time.
Lovely place, great food , and awesome service . .
We sat upstairs on a busy Saturday night. The menu selections were excellent. Our server did not offer us specials, but offered them to the table beside us. The atmosphere was quite loud, but not overwhelming. The food had great flavor, and the portion size was excellent. The wine list was average. Our server never stopped back at our table until it was time to offer desserts. We still had half of a bottle of wine, but felt rushed. I would return, but I think we had an inexperienced server.
Engagement
We loved the sushi as well as our entree’s and dessert. Service was great. We sat upstairs which is definitely quieter. Overall a great night. Will definitely be back.
The brunch was not as good as I thought it would be. Overly fried crab cakes, unflavored potatoes, and the sausage was too spicy.
We were looking for a new place for brunch to celebrate a birthday. The Metropolitan was a convenient meeting place. We were greeted in a friendly professional manner. The brunch menu choices were plentiful. The food was excellent. This is a place to keep in mind for a future Sunday Brunch.
