I’d been to this bar/restaurant before, they have a great happy hour with a great $5 wine (the Pinot Grigio) and great value for money apps, so decided to try it for dinner on a Saturday evening. We went at 5:45pm on a Saturday night because it was intimate and quiet. We had special drinks which we loved: Angry Mango Martini and Berry Sangria. The Creole mussels were unbelievable. I can't get them out of my mind - so delicious. We then shared the warm mushroom salad with strawberries and goat cheese. I was very full at this point but more food was on its way. The boss took me out for lunch on my birthday with other staff members. I come here often as a brussels sprout Caesar salad is my favorite. The calamari another appetizer is also fabulous
I haven't been to the Metropolitan Cafe in many years so decided to re-visit for a post holiday brunch. The food, service and staff were all excellent. I would have given a 5 star review however the ladies downstairs restroom was very dirty which was a turn off. With that aside, I would dine at this establishment again in the near future.

I went to Metropolitan Cafe on a Friday night with my boyfriend. Our reservation was for 8pm but we got their at 7:30 and they sat us early! We got the pulled pork tacos as an appetizer (not usually something I would pick but they were delicious). We were also both very happy with our meals and completely cleaned our plates. We left full and very satisfied! Can’t wait to go back!
