I have been a longtime lover of mezeh mediterranean cuisine but the experience I had a while back still upsets me. I eat here frequently on my eat to work but recently I have taken my business elsewhere because of two reasons. When I got the chicken kabob in my bowl with tahini sauce I mentioned that the chicken looked undercooked to which the server claimed it was “normal” and to “not worry about it”. I picked up order on Thursday 9:25 pm on the 7th Jan and the greens and the cilantro salad had so much sand kernels, it felt as I was chewing on sand!!

This is for order number 8296 from the Ballston restaurant that was ordered from a guest account. We were disappointed with the service provided. We ordered a family meal via delivery, only to discover that it was incomplete (missing two different sauces), and after calling the driver, who was unable to assist, we called the restaurant. The employee was unable to help at all. Additionally, the take out boxes were not well sealed, so a lot of food ended up spilling on the floor. It seemed to me that the food was not prepared all of the way, unsure whether this might have been the chicken or potentially the sauce was not kept at the correct temperature? Within a few short hours of finishing my meal, I began feeling nauseous and was not able to keep any food down. Thankfully the effects only lasted through yesterday evening and today I have been able to stomach light food.

I am a frequent ballston customer- I come in at least 2x a week. The customer service I received tonight was extremely disappointing. The crew seemed overwhelmed and rude. I asked to take advantage of the Veterans Day special but the pregnant lady at checkout refused. She also tried to charge me for items I asked for on the side- ie pita chips [croutons] for my husband who wasn’t going to right away and would otherwise get soggy. I just had a very, very bad experience at your Ballston Quarter Location. The lady at the counter did not know what she was doing . I am attaching ALL screenshots from this horrible experience. There is a BOGO deal at this location, so I asked for this. The employee (who is the lady on the left of the photo I have attached) said stop each time I asked for more toppings. She goes she needs to be able to close the bowl. ????!!!! UNLIMITED toppings means the employee needs to make space in the bowl for whatever is being asked. ... read more
